I am, but I'm still not sure which day. I'm hitting up the Capitol Subaru BBQ/Meet in SanJo for lunch on Sat. If it doesn't pour like it should, I may head up to SF right after. Otherwise, I'll pop in on Sun. I gotta use the admission tix they hooked me up w/! Nice... comp tix to get comp lift tix (yeah, I know they're restricted, but free is FREE, yo!).
Btw, I wonder if any shops other than Lombardi's & Porter's will have space to sell their goodies?

SUMMARY FOR THE WEEK -//> We are looking at a strong and wintry storm moving in out of the Gulf of Alaska this weekend. For now, the strong high-pressure ridge aloft that has been in place over the Western US begins to weaken today and Wednesday. Thursday and Friday looks a bit unsettled, with a strong south flow of winds moving in and a chance for showers, likely by Friday. Saturday and Sunday we see progressively colder weather, with strong winds and what looks like a significant snowstorm. Snow is expected to last right into early next week, though lighter at that point. All totaled, the incoming weekend storm could dump a couple feet or more of high moisture early season snow ("Sierra Cement" as its called) in favored resort areas around Lake Tahoe. Even resorts across Central California in the Central Sierra Nevadas could see significant snowfall. Over 1 foot of snowfall is possible at Mammoth and June Mountain.

Long range forecast / discussion...November 03 to 06
--Lighter snow showers continue on a colder Monday (3rd) as low-pressure moves out. Another low-pressure system moves in Tuesday into Wednesday, with some light snow possible again, along with cold temperatures. This looks like a drier and colder storm. We see a break in the "weather" late next week, then another round of snowfall late next weekend through the 10th/ 11th of November. We will be watching closely.

So I went to the SF SnowFest earlier today. Was like most other expos, except w/ the Wine yesterday & the Beer today. For some reason I thought today was also going til 8 like yesterday, but it looks like I misread the info. They closed shop at 6. Me & my buddy got there around 440, so we didn't bother doing the brew tasting since they were ending that @500. It wouldn't have been worth the extra money since we'd be limited.
Lotsa eye candy though. And along with the limited lift ticket for Bear Valley, Dodge Ridge or Sierra Summit that came w/ admission, I scored a restricted ticket to Bear Valley at their booth. Yay for me!
To get our sudsy fix taken care of, we mozied down to Knuckles near the wharf. Awesome spot to catch the NE/Indy game, while watching the Sharks lay the smack down on the 'lanche!
