I might've been the only one to get any photos unless the newspaper folks actually setup camp on stage 1.
These photos were taken at the Stage 1 FTC.

Nice!! Sorry I couldn't make it/help out but it looks like you had it covered. Been too busy to do anything like that this year, hopefully next.

I wanted to again thank each one of you that went out and suffered the cold with us this weekend, it was supposed to be a lot more action packed day, but as you know things did not go as planned.

What we did not have covered was all of the side roads, if this event is going to have a chance in the future, we need more people with HAM licenses to work blockages, which- by the way, is where a lot of the best spectating opportunities are.

They are talking about a July date for 2007, so there's plenty of time to find your local ARRL chapter and study up for the test....

as of right now, I don't have any conflicts in July (and given that this is an RA event) so I should be able to come work next time.

would you prefer it to be a NASA event?

What if it were 2 days, NASA one and RA the other? could I talk you into running one and working the other?

That would be a distinct possiblity, especially if the NASA day were to count for WSRC points. :-)

The tech license is very easy to get, and it's all you need for rally work.

My conflict dates so far are:

July 7-8 (24 Hours of LeMons)
July 12-15 (Gambler's Run)

I'd really like a w/e at home before heading out again ...

I'm afraid factors other than your schedule will probably dictate when- if at all a 2007 Rally happens in that area, and it might be a while before the questions are asked an answered, but you just might not get that w/e at home.....

Damn, a July date would suck. Summers in Reno are about the worst time to be outdoors.

Truth be told, I'd much prefer a later date myself- late September or October would work OK for me... but we have fire restrictions and hunting seasons to work around too.

Yeah, I know. I was thinking about it, and it either has to be in the dead of winter or the dead of summer due to many reasons.

Personally I prefer winter, but after seeing this year and last, its obvious that winter does add unnecessary headaches.
