Hey folks, do we need chains to get through Tahoe this weekend? I recall seeing a page that mapped out the current chain requirements, but I can't seem to find it again.

Ahh -- found it:
http://www2.dot.ca.gov/dist3/project...ontrol_map.pdf

linked from:
http://www.dot.ca.gov/dist3/departme.../controlmp.htm

So I guess this means no need for chains?

You can always check road conditions before you come up.

Unless there is a storm, you probably won't need chains.

My car's loaded to the gills and feels so heavy and sluggish to drive. What sort of tire pressure should I have when it's loaded like this?
