So im not really phone savvy so cut me some slack. But hows T-Mobles service. AT&T wants $300 for a deposit for a 2 year contract, $80 a month for limited everything, plus the $250 iphone 5 price.
Im intrested in picking up a GS3 with T-Moble for the 4G Monthly plan. Plan is only $30 a month with 100min of talk, unlimited text, and unlimited data with 4G speeds up to 3GB. That pretty much fits my needs. Only Bummer is that the phone is going to be like $600

Thats a typical off contract price for a phone.
IDK if they will let you or not, might be worth asking them if you can bring your own phone to them? Find a GS3 compatible with TMo off craigslist for a bit cheaper (although idk what they are going for right now tho).
As for service, I have no idea how reliable it is. Ive had big red for like 8 years.

Ima walk in today and ask if its possible to bring my own T-moble compatible phone and just reactivate it with the new plan. I already know what they will say, "Thats impossible, you have to buy the phone us. Just give us the $600"

I have t-mobile w/ 4G umlimited plan. The signal is pretty good in the Bay Area and in Livermore where I work. Most of the time I'm on 4G signal vs " E " and rarely on " G " I was in Fremont today to hike up Mission Peak, I had almost full bar the whole way up there.
They rolled out a new Unlimited talk/text/data 4G $70 no contract plan , I think you just provide your own phone or buy one of theirs. Prepaid Cell Phones | No Contract Cell Phone Plans | T-Mobile , if you go this route , get the Nexus 4 phone from Google Store.
T-Mobile's 4G HSPA+ is quite fast , some areas I get 23MBs and doesn't kill your battery like LTE 4G.
