49ers had quite a few bodies at that position.

I think Hayne should be the 49er's punt returner, kick returner, and actual punter. Pinion can't kick very well. We traded away Andy Lee for this guy? What a joke.

I'd definitely look at Hayne just returning everything.

I also keep hearing on the radio about Hayne being the 3-4th RB in depth and also hearing there is still a battle going for 3rd receiver. IMO if Ellington gets hurt too much, why would you continue to have him as punt/kick returner? Just have him as the solid #3.

Hayne can also be used as the #3? I know he isn't speedy, but get him out in the open space. He has hands, he can probably catch a football and make 1 guy miss, that's all you're looking for.

DeAndrew White should be the 3rd Receiver.

Ellington & Patton should be battling for the 4/5 Slots currently.

Jerome Simpson will probably come back to be the 3/4 Receiver once he gets back from Suspension pushing everyone else down, but I think White will be better in the long run as I doubt Simpson is with the team past this season.

Smelter & Anderson are both injured right now. Both have potential, but we will have to wait and see. Smelter should end up being the # 1 Receiver in the long run, but that probably won't happen until after Boldin and/or Smith are gone.

^In the end, someone needs to give the WRs a chance. Even Palmer is better than Kaepernick at tossin' the rock... a lot of guys are better than Kaepernick in this respect.

If Kaep didn't have his legs... well he's be a bottom 10 of the 30 teams QB.

He did have kind of a crappy off season but I'm hopeful. The unfortunate thing is that his sub-par stats are (I'd like to think) a direct result of him not getting time to throw. He may not be perfect but if the o-line did their job, and well, he would probably be a much better qb. Look at his first 2 years at starter (2nd half '12, full '13). Not throwing 5000 yards but getting it done, and getting it done well.

O-Line, O-Line, O-Line. That's going to be the deciding factor this year me thinks. If Colin's rushed on 70-90% of the plays then it's going to be a loooooong season.

Monday will be interesting. Vikings are absolutely on the rise but they aren't amazing. Honestly not sure who's going to win that one

Yea, this is a tossup. Niners defense does look good, but really it depends on the Niners offense... and well we know how "hoping" with that turns out to be.

I expect this to be low scoring and a win by a FG either way. Both teams under 20pts.

A.P. vs Bowman is what I'm watching here.

^If he's healthy, him and Mack would be the Von Miller/Ware combo, nasty!

But the last time Aldon was playin football he didn't make much of an impact. If he was having a good spring training with the Niners he could have kept in shape and be an huge impact player. A nasty 4 man rush is like dominoes in it will make the defense look way better.
