No cop would pinpoint some person dressed in a nice pair of slacks with a dress shirt and some shiny shoes and glasses. They would look toward the more "thugly." Which in terms means our cars have and will be targeted just for looking nice on the streets.

I'm not tryin' to be gay, but the police force is going to "stereo-type/classify" our cars as modded, which is a damn horrible way to **** off customers for just driving an import.

Maybe we should sue and say that these actions taken by CA officers are discriminatory and un equal, and march and fill up sacramento until the Gov. does somethin'.

J/p, won't work. CA will be as gay as it's been, and will become gayer for having fun with your cars.
Yes this is true, but there are also mostly 80% right depending on what cirty you are in. Someone dressed 'Thugly' rather then nice and elegant has a far better chance of wrong doing. All these "stero types" starting for a reason...

Yea this is all just a bull sh** ploy to make more money for the state! Its not like almost every car add i see in a mag. or on tv isnt addvertising speed or preformance of some sort and not to mention all the adds for performance parts too.Lets see, so we can spend all our money on our cars and then pay to get tickets too ? Stupid society!I wonder how many of these scary undercover drag net morons are on our site now?

Yea - taxes for government schools .... so they can produce more sheep to go along with unconstitutional property confiscation. Profiling isn't ilegal - but property confiscation without a trial sure as hell is. Good luck kids - this state is getting nasty and stupid.

Being Military and from out of state....time to reregister my car through my home state.....

Came back from Japan, bought and registered the car here (thus the CA tags incase anyone was wondering)

What a bunch of crap. These are the reasons I did not voluntarily choose to come here.
At least the wagon draws less attention.

Technically you are excempt from smog inspections themselves, but are still required to keep the vehicle's stock emissions equipment intact. They have no way of proving this without an inspection, unless you behave like the example below.

Amazing isn't it. I mean, in all honesty this is just another example of American Reactionary Behaviour (tm). Instead of trying to solve a problem, they are scrambling around doing the wrong things in the wrong areas but in reality only teaching people how better to break the law more effectively. Now, people who never cared are going to get harassed and say 'eff you' to the law, and take it upon themselves to be very crafty about what they do. I have always had cats on my cars even when I didn't need them. Now, I don't think I would... Paint everything flat black, no stickers, no spoilers etc. I see a new wave of stealthy modding coming...

California, where you are guilty until proven innocent. Glad to not be a part of the stupidity anymore.

Back in the 60's we had a cool plane that could, at twice the speed of sound, take a pretty clear pic of a ladybug on a golf ball from several miles up. Wonder if technology has advanced any?

But a V1 tells you that a cop is near and it's time to down the windows, upshift and spin your hat around. For that, it is priceless.

Make that a Porsche (so they can auction it off for more when you get caught with it)

I wouldn't be too worried about that. Cops don't target domestics no matter how loud.
