Noah man I'll buy something as soon as I get money so you can feel some love for customers. I understand negotiating now days because most shops rip you off these days, and on top of that if you are a girl that probably doesn't help. Next time just say "listen we are the best subaru shop around, and our prices are great", then tell her "or you can go to the dealer i have a quote for you right here, xxx"

unfortunately this is the least fun part about owning your own business selling to general consumers. its hard to convince people that you are on their side.

lol...I'm not one to pin shops on others and say "hey look at how glorious we are". We are honest/ethical guys just trying to make a living.

AND

Yes that means when you pay me money I make money (in most circumstances)...kinda the name of the game. It goes well with my philosophy; "I work, you pay....its simple".

agreed!

all you can do is try to inform but some are just so closed minded to even listening....it is what it is, all we can do is our best each and every encounter.

Important lesson to learn: Going cheap = broken parts = more money for the customer in the long run. In short, you get what you pay for!

I dunno. I was totally sketched out given the recent past experiences at the time, but after going to LIC for some susp/clutch (my first time!) I was blown away. Noah gave me massive run down/status over the phone on his own, .......more so than I even needed ,I could watch my car being worked on! crazy! when I got there I hoped to chat for a sec but had the little feeling in the back of my head, that my car would be thrust upon me and I would be out the door never able to even get a glimpse of the guy who did the work not to mention dialogue.....nope both Adam, Noah and their other mechanic at the time came out to the front and talked to me about everything for a lengthy amount of time, answered all my questions and gave advice. It was true customer service to the maximum. Since then it's the only place I'll go for car work, the one place I can just dump my **** and trust Noah and Adam to do a more than amazing job, and help me solve whatever problem need be the RIGHT way not the easy way.

LIC WON"T EVER do things half assed OR let you DO things half assed. And goes out of their way to find any problems or possible issues, regardless of if you asked or mentioned it. And they can do it so well and by sight/sound/feel on the subarus,

you just can't get other people to put that much into something.

woot!

While that is the exception and not the rule there are a lot of people like that out there. You just have to know where to look.

I always strive to provide the same service or better than what I'd want if the roles were reversed. That's how it should be always, but the reality is it isn't.

Noah - even better than the customer negotiating and refusing the work is when they expect you to fix the issues another shop caused for free after they dissed you on the work. Gotta love people!
