Answer my question about accountability vs excuses please. Why are you against Prop 4? Is it because you don't want teens to become "complete dirtbags and leach off of friends, family, and welfare" or because you believe a 13 year old has the ability to make a choice that is in their best interest?
AGAIN i ask YOU, a 13 year old cant make a decision on abortion.. BUT, shes smart enough to take care of not only herself all of a sudden but another life !????

Are you suggesting that you are voting No on Prop 4 because the pregnant teen may have to raise the child alone or because you think that a 13 year old has the ability to make this decision in their best interest?

I don't know, why am I against Prop 4? I didn't know I was.

I don't have the perspective of a parent or a 13 year old girl. Prop 4 is a very personal matter and it's not my place to say.

I don't think a majority of 13 year olds can't even choose which classes are best for them, so of course I don't think a 13 year old can make a decision with life long consequences about abortion.

And are you saying that all teens that get pregnant aren't smart enough to take care of themselves and their babies?

I would agree that most are not.

However, is your reason for voting No on Prop 4 because you are making excuses based on the mother's potential ability to raise a child in order to neglect the fact that a 13 year old doesn't not what is best for themselves?

Please clarify what your are trying to say here, "And parenting a child doesn't mean you "lose" and what it is in response to.
It was a comment on your rhetoric and connotations. That's all.

You still havent answered my question lol, you are telling me that a teenage girl is not smart enough to make her own decision on an abortion. I'm asking YOU, if she cant make the correct decision on an abortion, you seriously think she can take care of a HUMAN BEING though?

I think there is a large assumption being made in this thread

Prop 4 only mandates that someone under the age of 18 has to notify a relative that they would be receiving an abortion.

no where does this prop say that the person does NOT have to tell someone.

who is it to say that most underage girls would not tell their parents and just have the abortion? I am sure that some would, but the argument in this thread is starting to look like people are saying that prop 4 says they will not tell anyone, not the option to tell someone.

I think if they can make the decision to have sex they should be able to handle if they get knocked up or not.

NO way would i want my daughter to be able to get an abortion wihout me knowing. I believe in the case of rape or incest is the only acceptable time that it could be used.

If the girl doesnt have anyone to tell except an abusive parent, she should have thought about that before she decided to have sex.

Eh, you should have enough faith in your daughter for her to tell you without the govt forcing it. I'd rather see a safe teen daughter who has to live with her decision than a beaten one that still has to live with that decision.
