Therefore, Obama is not qualified to protect himself, if elected as President.

Obama developed his political career with the guidance and mentorship of Bill Ayres, despite the fact that Obama discredits any ties to him. His wife, part of The Weatherman Underground Organization which Bill Ayres co founded, actually placed a bomb on the window of the San Francisco Park Station Police Department. My father was a police office based out of this department, and was actually blown out of his car due to the explosion.

I really don't trust someone with this type of an affiliation to a known terrorist to run our country. I do, however, trust someone who has sacrificed for the freedoms in this country which we enjoy and take for granted every day.
I find it absolutely hysterical that you can slam Obama's lack of qualification and then extol the qualifications of Palin in the same breath....

Classic

And bravo to you for pulling out connection to ayers albeit a extremely weak one.

Here are facts:

1. Obama would have been 8 when the weather underground was blowing up things.
2. Ayers and Obama served on a anti-poverty board together (The Woods Fund) for 3 years (1999-2002)
3. Ayers donated 200 bucks to Obama's senate campaign in 2001.

Thats it. That's all the solid evidence that there is. And we all know what 200 bucks can buy you!!!

It's funny because they went through the Ayers relationship in the primaries and now, as the economy is completely tanking, all McCain and the Republicans can talk about is this.

One blogger said it best about the Ayers connection:

Sorry...And, I don't mean to appear dismissive, but honestly, this has neither logical, nor emotional "legs" to it.

You're just pointing out the obvious. Namely, that people who with backgrounds, which may be displeasing, even onerous, may live amongst and work amongst us.

Heck, Communists were part of the American Civil Rights movement - and MLK, Jr. addressed them openly, according to veteran journalist accounts, the mafia [still] tithes to the Vatican, and men of a similar nature contributed to Mother Theresa's work in India and abroad. So what??
And with the Economy tanking why are we not more concerned with McCain's ties to Keating? Who was convicted and went to FEDERAL PRISON?

Why then does Obama denounce even those ties with Ayres? It is irrelevant to compare Obama to Palin, Presidential Candidate to Vice Presidential Candidate. Look at Obama's history. It is rediculous to say that his political ideals have not been developed based on his previous affiliations. He is a radical left socialist who has his own agenda. And Ayres to this day will not apologize for his actions in the past. He, just like Obama, seeks a socialist reform. It is irrelevant that Obama was 8 years old when these terrorist attacks we taking place. Ayres still functions on the same beliefs. It is important to look at Obama's past affiliations to determine his character and intentions. Just my opinion.

Whoever will get my country back on track > Who knows a former psycho hippy

People are more concerned about either presidential candidate having some sort of solution planned for this recession. Neither one has anything with substance, hence the changing of subjects with both campaigns going negative and focusing on attacking eachothers charactor. Ayres has a bunch of ties to people in Chicago's educational system, doesn't seem to bother anyone. Ayres involvement with Barak is about as meaningless as McCain's ties to the Keating 5.

There are real issues to deal with now and people don't want to concern themselves with the "Swift Boat" politics from 2004.

As far as the Acorn scandal, this should go under federal investigation right now. There's clearly illegal activity going on here and this could affect the result of this election. America needs to know who's behind it and why.

I agree 100% And I think that is why you don't see McCain gaining in the polls. I think Americans are tired of the BS politics and just want someone who they think can fix this mess we're in. The Economy was never John's strong suit and he's paying for it in the polls. He always did have Barak on Foreign policy but Americans aren't concerned about that nearly as much as the Economy.

I really think the negative turn that McCain's campaign has taken is going to put off independents and undecided voters.

Everyone's past affiliations create who they are, and by that logic we should really be worried about McCain and his ties to the Keating 5.

Why because he has a universal health care plan? Please...Lets get some concrete evidence please.

Again we can look at McCain and say the same thing about Keating. I think it's stupid to make that leap with both of them...

Question: because of my association to I-Club, would I have problems running for President in the future?

Actually no. Your ties to Nikon are very dangerous.

Nikon = Japanese = you hate America

And I'm sure Barak is thoroughly disappointed that he would disqualified to be in the secret service. I'm sure he's very upset considering he's so skilled at everything else the secret service requires. I bet McCain can get a medical waiver though, even though he can't raise his arm above his head.

Depends on what neat tricks you can do with a cigar?

I agree that McCain is a poor choice for the Republicans, but that alone does not "qualify" Obama to be president.

I think for a lot of people, it makes Obama a more attractive choice.

I think Jon Stewart should be president.

Ayers still functions on the "same beliefs"?

A single fact to support that would be enlightening.

Here's an interesting article on a post-activist Ayers based on actual, first-hand experience:

Barack, Bill, and Me

You do realize where most of the tax-generated money comes from, right?
