What exactly is the American Ideal? It certainly seems there are differing opinions of the American Ideal? Frankly the American Ideal has very little correlation with Mr. Obama. As a matter of fact much of his "change" ideology is fundamental Marxisim. Last I checked the fundamentals of Marxisim completely disagree with democracy. We've fought wars over the differences.

The American Ideal is something that has remained unchanged over the last 200 years. It is the right of the people to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. In recent years, these rights have been impinged upon by our Federal government - both through action and inaction. How can we maintain the American Ideal if we have a crushing deficit that future generations will be forced to pay down? Or if we don't protect our environment, and use our natural resources in a smart, sustainable manner? Or worse still, if we continue sacrificing our most basic rights as Americans in the name of fear.

Obama is not a Marxist. In what ways does his "change" ideology correlate with his proposals? And don't give me, "well my brother Jim says" or "this email states".

I won't tell you what my brother Jim said. First and foremost, black theology, see reverend Wright, is a front for Marxisim. No questions. The only difference is they use Prayer and the word to rally the oppressed against the oppressor. Taxation of rich/upperclass and redistribution in the form of government provided services. The entire premise of "change", grassroots revolution. What more do you need to know? Seriously, I have no interest in writing a thesis, outlining the the modern democratic movement and how it's roots are based on the philosophy of Marx, Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin, ect. Why do I have no interest; because it's already been written time and time again. If you seek information, go look for it. Draw your own parallels. It's really quite easy to do.

As for the American Ideal, I wish to have my divine rights decided by me. I have no interest in having my life dictated, my liberties passed out like a deck of cards or taken because I can't handle them. And damn it, if in my pursuit of happiness I become insensitive to those that lost the will to pursue; So be it, it's my god given right.

I like how Bush has given us more rights and freedoms.....

I'd have Voted for McCain if it wasn't for his support of Iraq, which I've never supported. But Palin seals the deal, not voting for McCain.

Obama may be a Dem. He may spend just as much money as Bush has... but you know what, at least we get something out of it. At least we get some health care, we get $ to schools, we get something... Bush has given us NOTHING but heartache. I'm not going to even chance McCain continuing this trend. Godforbid Palin somehow becomes president, holy ****, we'd probably be nuking the middle east in the name of Christianity.

Of course, ALL this could've been avoided is Bush did was a proper Republican should've done and not have 1) spent outrageous money 2) Meddled in the politics of other countries (Iraq).

We'd have been fine. We could have like HUGE forces in Afghanistan. We could be putting major pressure on Pakistan to let us in and let us take out Osama.

Instead, we followed that idiot right into office, right into office AGAIN and now we have pay the near $1 Trillion price tag. More importantly, all those soldiers

If this is so painfully obvious, why hasn't McCain called him out on it? Or better yet Palin, since she seems to be basing her VP vote on how much better qualified she is than Obama.

Why do I get the feeling this topic wont come up in the upcoming debates? Because McCain is a nice guy and doesn't want to embarrass Obama most likely. There's a reason why these conspiracy theories remain as blogs and rants and not brought out into main stream media.

There is no conspiracy theory! What conspiracy? This is what's happening! Hello... There's nothing to call out. I feel like I'm talking to a 4th grader all of a sudden. Do you seriously know that little about the philosophies of each party and their roots?

Republicans used to be the liberals...

But seriously, the republicans of today are so off base it isn't even funny. Small government, personal liberties, fiscal responsibility... Last 3 GOP Presidents (Regan, Bush and Bush) and the last 3 GOP majority Congresses have spend more and more, and it's CRAZY... The National Debt has skyrocketed since 1980, and started to level off when?? That's right, Clinton era... That's sad, and I can't be a GOP member anymore cause the GOP is full of self righteous religious fanatics... Social Conservatives as I Like to call them. The party has turned its back on ME, on it's principals. We've never spent so much, and we've never had the Federal Government so big and porky, and we certainly haven't lost so much freedom as we have in the recently during Bush. The government is reading everything, tapping everything, and not making us any safer.

So what am I (Independent- Moderate) to do?? Vote for McCain and Palin? No way! Old man wants to stick to Iraq and Palin is nuts.

I'll take Barack any day.

Neither has Palin, but all of the conservative nut swingers are backing her.

Besides, what's new about McCain? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sa20q2s2BRs

4th grader, that's cute. Aren't you going with the "I'm right until proven wrong" strategy? I didn't do anything to insult you, but if you think calling me a 4th grader helps you out then more power to you.

I don't care about each parties philosophies because they're both pig headed and self righteous. I don't by into the bipartisan system so no, it doesn't interest me. I simply asked why, if it's so true, hasn't anyone that matters called out Obama as a Marxist". That would essentially kill his campaign in one fell swoop, so it just makes sense to me that it would be brought to the forefront.

So what if McCain accomplished anything, so did Hitler. Doesn't make him the man for the job.

I'm not making a correlation between the two, just using simple flawed logic like you.
