Question what is wrong with my car?

I have an 05' STi, on some instances has been driven hard but no where near the point of abuse.

It was purchased new in October and has only 6,600 miles on it.

The car does not respond when i hit the gas to accelerate. It just redlines until i shift. The car although is perfectly fine to drive if you are driving it slow and has no problems shifting and the clutch engages fine, no grinding.

I have no idea of what is going on?

Help asap would be greatly appreciated, im lost!

So you're saying that when you accelerate hard the RPMs rise rapidly but the car doesn't go anywhere? Sorry but you've toasted the clutch, time for a new one.

The car has been driven hard on certain instances. It is an STi, your bound to do that. It has been dropped kind of aggresively maybe 4-5 times max. Other than that i have cared for it extremely well. But ever since its new I have had problems with the clutch.

After the first roadtrip the car would give the nasty smell of a burnt clutch just by going in reverse a couple of feet. I honestly don't see how the clutch could have gone out this fast on the car?

It all depends on the driver and how much/aggressively the clutch is slipped during normal driving as well as "launches" and so on. Many people have gone through clutches in a short time, you are not the only one.
It's possible to destroy a clutch in 100 feet if you really want to, or it can last 100K +.

Thanks for all the help. Turns out they are going to fix it under warranty, enough complaining will get you what you want!

Thanks again.
