how long has your clutch lasted???

hello subie nation. i read alot of stories with unhappy endings about our clutches. so how long did your stock and or after market clutch last?? i have a 02 WRX wagon with just a little over 45,000 miles on her. i purchased her used in 02 with a little over 27,000. i have launched her HARD about dozen times 10X at the track where it counts. thanks in advance for any input. peace

Mine lasted longer then the Tranny LOL 48k miles.. But that was alot of drag racing prob a 1,000 launches on her..

1000 hard launches

hello, wow that's alot of abuse. i guess you lose count if you do it all the time. so what your telling me is we all have a pretty tuff clutch and a weak gearbox. that cool.. how often do you change your gearbox fluid? what do you use? thank in advance.

60k miles and counting on stock clutch here, thats with prolly over a dozen launches and driving hard almost daily, never slipped once.. doing the 60k mainenance this weekend

I just had subaru change the oil, use to change it alot to check for metal fragment's..

71k on the stock clutch on my 02. Bought it new. I do mostly highway driving but, I do beat the living crap out of it as well. Still engages fine.

hello, hmm... sounds good. i hope to get at least 60,000 out of mine, and when its time to replace, i more than likely will stay stock.

43k on mines still catches fine. Recently got a vf34 and launch about 2-3 times on that by slipping.

wow, even with the turbo upgrade the stockers still good? thats good news. i don't think i'll every install a larger turbo, but if i do it's nice to know the stock clutch can take it (within reason). cool. thanks..

Brtnchild180 14k that not that many miles. wow do ya abuse her alot? i know its an STI, for me it would be hard NOT to.
