Question what's wrong with my car?

Okay I just got this 04 rex and now everytime I'm idling I feel more vibration from the motor. It has 1600+ miles on it now. I don't know if I'm trippin or if something is wrong. Also when I'm driving and shifting to 2nd it feels like it's boggin. It's really not that noticeable but to me it is. It only happens sometimes. It also does it on 3rd. It's between 2k-3k rpm when it does this. What do you guys think? Also when I start my car the RPM needle shoots up to like 2.5k and drops down close to 0 and rises slow to 500. does anyone else experience this... Sorry for all the questions. I just wanna know if my baby is sick and need to take her in.

Doesn't sound like there's really anything wrong. Stock USDM EJ20s are not so good below 3k rpm.

Stock 2003's spool at like 3400 RPM's and under that they bog huge. I'm sure its a case of under shifting on the new car. Its ok it happens to everyone. Good Luck.

Sometimes I notice the idle vibration more than others, but its just the boxer engine. I posted the same question on here about my 2003 when I got it, or someone else posted it but I was thinking it.

Also if you're using the AC or defogger it can make it seem like the engine is vibrating more. But it's fine.

check all your vacum lines, do you have a check engine light on? could be a loose wire to the MAF sensor. (sensor on the intake box) do you have a aftermarket intake?

good luck

when my starts the needle goes t0 1500 rpm and slowly tapers to 500rpm when it's fully warmed up. You should get it checked out. My car has never shot to 2500 and then to 0rpm. Sounds wierd. Your car is probably still stock, so don't hesistate and bring her to the dealer.

I've found that some gasoline brands make for a more stable idle than others. So maybe try different gas...You ARE using premium fuel, right?

i have an 2004 as well and mine never did the whole 2500-0 thing early.. actually the post above describes how my car has been from 15 miles (when i got it) to its present state at 10,500mi... take it to the dealer.. something is wrong (and remove all noticeable mods first)

engine vibrations are normal, ur car is mean and loud, if u get n exhaust u will notice the sounds n vibrations more, thats how the wrx is, its mean and powerful, sounds like u arent shifting too well, u might still be new in the manual tranny cars, just keep practicing shifting cause if u dont shift correctly and dont add enough gas ur car will bog. shifiting takes skills and finese.
