1998 Legacy GT - High Km's....
Hey guys, I'm on the market for a 1998-99 Legacy or Impreza and I'm interested in this 98 Legacy in town. The body is nice and it's got nice black leather interior, only thing is, its got 276,000 km's on it
I'm pretty sure they're mostly highway km's cause they used to live in Ontario and drove it here to BC a few times from there. I took it for a test drive and it seems to run great, a very small amount of tickage from the engine but no big deal. I also saw the receipts for the car and the dealership put $2400 CAD into the car before bringing it out. Mostly on gaskets, seals, water pump, head gasket, etc. One thing I'm not sure of is if the timing belt was replaced.
Anyway what do you guys think? Should I make sure the timing belts been replaced and go it from there, or keep lookin for some lower km's?

I gave it some thought and decided against the high km's. Theres a car I'm looking at now though, a 97 Legacy GT 5 spd with only 76,000 km's on it. Only thing is the guy wants $11,990 Canadian for the thing. You think its worth it?
