I'm not knocking the GC, in fact I'm actively looking for a good GF4 to play with. Anybody have a '99 to '01 OBS with a 2.5RS motor swapped in that they are looking to sell?

Enthusiasts would recieve it with open arms... I'm sure autoline detroit and other industry people would whine about it being 'dated' while it moved more units then the 'older' styles ever did and certanly more then they ever expected. The customers would rave while the industry complained that the 350z was such a more advanced design or something, but really I have never been one to abide by or listen to the standards and opinions of an industry that keeps my cars gearing weak for 0-60 times and stuffs a cat before my turbocharger for cold start emissions while numbing down my suspension and stuffing my car full of sound deadening on top of two extra doors to please grocery getters while calling it sporty to attempt to capture the coveted 16-30YO male market segment...
I'll keep my GC8 and let the bean counters count someone elses beans for these new cutting edge impreza designs...

I like both, ****, the 03 was the reason I bought one!! Dah!
Anyways, 04 has way nicer interior, better looking back lights
however, 03 I like the huge fog lights under those ugly bug eye lights, I wish the 04 had the big fog lights

the bug eyes took me some time to get use to but i like them now. and hey you gotta love the rally inspired driving lights(fog). as for the 04's their fog lights look like something that you'd find on a civic. i do like the tail lights on the 04s tho. and as for the older generations i use to love those until the 02's came out.... you gotta love the box flares..
