old body vs. new body

who prefers the old body imprezas over the new ones? i like both equally as much just cant decide on whether or not to go with the new one, or get an old one and dump the ej20..

old. ^^^^ that and cuz its jsut lost its appeal to me now....dont get me wrong...i will STILL KILL to get one...i just like the old bugeyes more...

gm6-vs new school

4 door sucks ! why do you need 2 more doors to wiegh you down? get a 98-2002 RS......swap out the engine and drivetrain....you can get at least 4 grand for it......then buy an STI engine, turbo and drivetrain (6 speed !) the swap wont cost more then 4 grand. or hell......you could even get an ej20 for alot less =)

I have a new RS but now i wish i got the old RS cuz no one really knows what one is when they see it. the new one everybody knows what they look like. and i have a lot of respect for the old ones too.

old, they look so aggresive, plus the ej20 is a great engine for it

New and old are both cool. Since ive got the new im biased towards it. Mainly i like the new taillamps and the bigger hood scoop. The headlights are cool but im not in love with them. Anybody know if they are working on aftermarket headlamps yet?

nah cuz thing is, i can wait to get enough for a newer car(even though registration and insurance will be a *****) or i could get an old gc8 which is somewhat of a beater, and mod that. so im kinda stuck. thanks a lot for the replies

both 03 and 04 are both awesome, besides, the 2 doors in the back dont even weigh that much. ever feel how light they are?

I have a blue RS with gold rims and my friend has a 03 Black and people seem to like the body style on mine better. Personally I like the look on the front and the 2 door style, but the 04 head and tail lights look really good.

I like both,

The 02-03 has a more "rally look" to it then the 04, however, the '04 looks much more streamlined. I own an 04 and have no complaints. In addition, the seats on the 04 are much better than the 03. (in my opinion) Just go with what YOU like!
