Gotta go with the old, thats what makes the car original. The news ones are hot and all but they look to similar to all the other cars on the road!

My favorite is the GC8, then 02/3 WRX and then current. I just can't get used to this front end. I love bugeyes!

if I had money, I'd be looking for a pristine GC8 chassis to be turning into my STI eating machine. The GC8 is the secksyest impreza.

If I had only enough money to buy one stock, it would have to be the 04. I'm not a huge fan of the bug eyed neon wannabe.

How is the bug eyed more rally like? I think the thing looks like a family hauler than a rally car. The 04 looks pretty savage when it flies around the corner. The 01-03 looks like a neon doing something it wasn't designed to do :P

Nothing as sexy as that 22b flying around a bend though, if I ever see one on the road, I'd have a joygasm right then and there.

I love them womanly curves on the fenders :P

Stick that wide body on the GC8 4 door and that car is mine baby.

they all look great, thats my opinion, goto appreciate both... i cant change peoples opinions... but my opinion... hopefully would influence... goto like both, cause i do, 2003 WRC goes to the 4 door STi, respect that, like it. or ur stupid, looks arent everything, sounds like whoevers is so into this old body vs new thing i bet cant even launch a 2002 stock wrx for a 1/4 drag within the 14's range.

As for your pricing issue...
To buy a almost pristine GC8 your talking 17k MAX. Most go for 10-15. Then, for the diffrence (8-13k) you can drop in a JDM STi engine, new exhaust, do some suspension mods, wheels and tyres and you have a 285-90hp car that weighs less than the USDM Sti

see now that wouldn't be a problem if I were in the lower states. It would be fairly easy to find a pristine GC8 body, and for the money should I have had that kind of money, sure, I'd do it because it is my favorite chassis.

The problem is I'm in canada, where our winter is 6 months long and there's road salt for 8 months of the year lingering on most of the roads.

Finding a body in pristine condition up here, well that would be a needle in a haystack. Though I have to admit, I havent really tried, part of that reason is because I'm a student still, I don't have money, and I don't have a job right now :P

Maybe in the future I'll have money and maybe stars will align and maybe one day I could manage the GC8 dreamcar, but at this point, I'd settle for any year impreza that's in good or new condition when it comes time for a new car for me.
