You're absolutely right, **** shouldn't have anything to do with the STi. Unfortunately, Hawaii was the first sate to get the STi, so we all and to go to your forum to look for reviews. Also, unfortunately we all had to look at all the graphic **** link threads.

it's funny How if I type the letters S H I T using this forum's email engine, it scrambles the letters when I send it. You CAN'T swear here, but you can have access to some pretty explicit and graphic **** sites.

Look, I don't care that you guys look at ****. I do care that you guys do it in a public all access forum.

By the way do anyone of you guys have kids? I'm guessing NO.

"Hey mom, I'm NOT looking at a **** site, I'm just on the I-club forum learning about the STi coming to Hawaii".

I guess if I'm the only one that feels this way, then you're right. I need to take my stupid Evo/Neon considering attitude elsewhere.

Cheers,

A father

my question is, why does everybody drool over the STi anyway? it's just a car. in terms of special and all that other stuff, it's pretty special in the sense that it was the first WRX to hit the shores and is the cause of many other things such as the Evolution and Neon's to come into the market. this car was one of the things that started everything. if that's not special, then i don't know what is. also, the design is something of originality, not into the mainstream. many people don't or didn't like the bug-eyed look, they said it was ugly, but that's all subjective. i wouldn't say the WRX is ugly, green honda's, gay-a$$ designs on cars, altezza lights, etc. that is ugly, the WRX is original. there's a fine line between the two.

i just don't know the reason why people want to know sooo much about the STi. it's still just a car as well as my WRX, is just a car. now, what we make of it is all that matters. so, who cares what others think, who cares what magazines say, and who cares if you get one or not. if not, get the Evolution, i'm sure you won't be disappointed. yeah it only has a 5-speed, but it's a proven highly engineered car that has a history like or if not, more in-depth than the STi. these two cars are very similar, just pick and choose. just don't for goodness sake buy a neon, that's an american car trying to jump on the JDM market, there's no comparison. for americans, it's all about speed and going straight, for the japanese it's all about tracks and times. i give props to Mach5 or angry Dan whichever, because he's just stating what he feels about the STi in his best opinion, and he's not trying to bullsh!t anyone. hey Dan, maybe you shouldn't answer their questions if they're going to give you slack like that. you're only wasting your breath. if you want to get one, then get one, if not then hush. one more thing, there are many people here selling their WRX's because they want to buy the STi, why? the WRX is just as good, in my opinion. it's what you make of it. i love my WRX and wouldn't trade it for anything, maybe a skyline.

I know right, Thanks man.

Sorry I can't answer the questions the way you people want me to. Sorry I was trying to help some people out.

I'm going to go look at some **** now.

This is exactly why the internet is super.

Janq - I think you are reading too much into this. I don't think anybody was giving you "attitude" at all. I surely couldn't see any problem with any of requests for information you were posting regarding Dan's experience with the STi. You were being very articulate and specific about the information that you wanted - and you were being gracious about Dan taking the time to answer your questions. Personally, I'd be VERY happy to own either vehicle - the performance/potential in the STi is ENORMOUS, and the sex appeal of the G35 is undeniable.

Agent - I'm going to disregard your **** references because they are completely off-topic.

I think you are probably a nice guy. I think you probably have (or had) a legitimate interest in the STi. I think you have a desire to know certain specifics about the vehicle. I also think that you need to review the manner in which you stated your assessment of Dan's performance in answering questions that were posed to him in this thread.

Do you feel that if this were a situation in "physical reality" and you popped your head up out of the peanut gallery crowd gathered around Dan and his brand spanking new STi while he was entertaining questions regarding said vehicle and commented "Hey - you're being vague and of a complete lack of help here with your answers... You're making me want to buy an Evo! What's the deal here?" that he'd be inclined to answer your questions further or even be nice enough to pay any attention to you? I don't think so.

Just food for thought.

I assure you Dan never had any intention to be misleading, curt, or anything less than helpful or forthcoming in his replies. I'm not so sure that could be said of you and your commentary on the "job" that he did.

Am I way off base here?

Dude it's worse on a small island, trust me. But I'll let someone smarter than me explain that one.

Wow - now that I've re-read this whole thread a couple of times I am even more convinced that you were just being a jerk, Agent.

I mean Dan was on here every couple of MINUTES answering questions that were posed to him by Janq (to the best of his ability I might add). He had already posted his initial impressions (as did Cliff, and Pat) in a much longer, more detailed form earlier on in the thread.

You then jumped in with this:
Wow, could the replys from Mach5WRX be any more vague and uninformative.

This thread is making me take a closer look at the Evo.

Sorry to sound like an ***, just speaking my mind.
I don't see how answering specific questions truthfully that were posed to him (information which would not otherwise be available to you) is being vague and uninformative?

Are you having better luck on the Evo board?

If you were sorry to sound like an *** maybe you should have rephrased your post before hitting the reply button?

what a bunch of f*cking loosers!
Dan, .... why do you even bother??

and agent2.8, Yes, ... there are a lot of people in the Hawaii forums who are fathers, ..... that is our forum, we don't bring our kids to the computer to browse threads when we're BS-ing with our friends.

I think everyone would agree that you need to take your 2.8 inch dick elsewhere if you're just going to be a troll!!

damn.....I'm glad I've only been replying to post about the STI rather than starting my own thread. How dare someone make negative comments on how YOU answered SOMEONE ELSES questions. It's just my personal view but I think my fellow STI owners did a decent job entertaining questions (and I've owned and been driving a USDM STI for as long as anyone else in this country).

Good job Mach5WRX, Ditchhanger, MauiJammer!!!

Rude people **** me off....atleast people like markd are appreciative of the time people spend......

Sorry for being so negative but.......wtf

Ha ha ha.

I paused myself while I was writing that because I felt bad for going OT with this thread, which could be a valuable tool for those of you in the mainland. I guess I hit 'submit reply' because someone had already taken it down the sewer....and because I didn't have anything more objective to write.

I'm erasing the earlier post.
