Even still I'm wondering what was your impression as to build quality and new car presentation.
Reports have been that it is a might better in initial quality presentation than the EVO (to be expected). I don't have to go German to get good if not excellent build quality.
The previous gen/model WRX's are pretty good in build quality and I'm wondering how the new bodywork, nose and other bits fit to the vehcile overall. The interior is pretty much statndard faire as I understand it.

I have the Blue/Gold combo like Dan and I have run into mixed reactions. Those who have heard of and know the STi are generally impressed.
I was pulled over by a motorcycle cop on Friday. I was only doing 60 MPH and wondered if the wing or something was going to get me (Hawaii has a recon law). As it turns out he wanted to know how I liked my STi.

Mach5WRX,
One other question; What is it that changed your mind to go for the STi instead of the G35 Coupe?

This thread is making me take a closer look at the Evo.
Sorry to sound like an ***, just speaking my mind.

Why don't you ask a more pointed, specific question then?
Just speaking my mind.

What do _they_ say?
Like your coworkers and/or boss. Do you have to do some explaining or are you just written off automatically as a 'ricer'?
The reason I ask is I'm sure fellow motorhead/tuner guys (and SubieGal) will be impressed, but they are in the minority outside of I-Club, NASIOC and your local motor club(s) buddies.
Also please, don't tell me a cop pulled your card just to drool over your car. OMG!!!
Thats illegal here (MD & VA) and in some areas would either result in a 'chase' (folks have warrants) or worst, a shootout. Personally, I don't want to be talking to the cops for no reason, about nothing, never.
The cops must be livin' like 'Baywatch' in your 'hood!

Plus in a few years it will make a better rally car than the G35.
