well, i'm sure you'll be damn happy with the "real" STi that you'll be getting. one more question though, do you think it would be possible to run the V8 ECU from the STi on a US WRX? i noticed that you were selling yours. just wondering.

Ripov...i think you have some valid points and are in a similar situation as I am, one good reason NOT to get the STI is the fact that I have a 99RS that I can pay off right now in full, or I can go out and put a deposit down on a new 04 STI and trade it in...this equals out to either keeping the same "slow, older" car with 60k on it with no monthly or getting the STI demon that I've always wanted and raise my current payment about $80 plus high octane fuel and insurance?? now I did manage to avoid jumping on the WRX when it came out and other cars like the Z and just recently the EVO...so I have been putting off a new ride for about 2 yrs now and what I have been REALLY waiting for is now here, which I am very happy about!! this is has probably been worth the wait and also, if you think you are at your threshold for price as I am, if you are waiting for anything else better you would have to look at increasing your price threshold...so this post has basically turned into why NOT to buy one, to you should get one...probably because I am about to put a deposit and be #2 on the dealers list this weekend! oh well?
