I am 17 and just recently bought a new wrx. i also have a 73 pontiac lemans. I needed a new car and want i really wanted is a wrx. I did a lot of research and figured i would get it. I pay for it all by myself every last penny of the payment and insurance. i have to work hard for it but i think its worth it. It is a lot of car for a teenager to have, but i think that kids that pay for their own car are a lot more cautious about being stupid. i know better than to race on the steet anyway.

I am 28 years old and as for the old people attempting to preach to the youger crowd. your pissing up the wrong tree. why dont you send your comments to your state reps on drunk driving. all of you adults ( supposedly) should be changing the process. If you dont think the youth of today can drive, then write your state reps and change the requirements. other than that your opinions on this post are worthless and wasted time. leave these young guys alone.
( they probably drive better than most of you already anyway )

My first car was a Chrysler Lebaron I got it for roofing my grandfathers house at age 16...i drove that thing like a mad man..my next car was a Ford Ranger GT with a 5.o engine swap tuned to well over 300hp the car was given to me and i drove that like a madman also. Also I had a Katana 600 motocycle i bought, that was the only thing that scared me at 17, 125 mph no doors. I definately liked the later two the most because they were better. Not because i did or didn't buy them. I'm older I drive more responsibly but the thing to know is ou can kill yourself in any car no matter what age you are. does experience help? I think you can be a good inexperinced driver or a $hitty experienced one.
Being able to buy your own car is something to be proud of but havng one bought for you is nothing to be ashamed of.

I'm twenty and I have owned a turbo rx7, a supra tt, a trans-am ram air, turbo eclipse , and a wrx currently I am working on a sr20 swap for my 240 sx. I didn't pay for them but I do take care of all my toys and I will take care of the STI when I get that this summer. Point is as long as there are rich parents then there will be rich spoiled kids ( myself included ). So unless you plan to bankrupt ever under 21 kids parents there really is no point to complain. Just wait for them to post on here that they crashed there new STI and then tell them how stupid there are.
Odds are thought their parent are already buying them something better but hey thats life.
