Here's a few pictures I took before the sun went down.
Still need to install the wipers, front strut brace, and rear diffuser.

Thanks!
So Far I've given a ride to Justin (My painter), Evan (my HID balast bracket maker), And Tyler (My Co-worker on the project), who also got a chance to drive it. I have to say both behind the driver seat and as a passenger, this car is one solid performer. Ride quality is awesome, and the steering feel is amazing! It's just like a refined go-kart. and the sound.......... Words can describe it. After a quick spin around the block, Evans' hands were shaking, and Tyler had to have a cigarette (and he's not even a smoker! ) So I'm going in the morning for emissions. It's running alright, but you can tell it needs a tune. But no CEL, so I should pass no problem. Then can make an appointment with the DMV, and get it street legal! We (Tyler and I) decided that we're going to fix the speedo before Wed, and run the horn off of the Intercooler spray switch, for the inspection, and then re-wire the horn to the wheel, it's easier than figuring out where the short is in the horn circuit for now. Still waiting for word from Graham at Japanparts about the sideskirts and lip, I'll keep you posted.
Also, If anyone knows how to mount the rear plate lights in a JDM rear bumper, Let me know!

I just got home from the emissions place, passed with flying colors!
I'm going to paint the wiper blades (STI pink! j/k ) today and install them, If I get some time away from the baby. The interior blower works, but only on full blast, which is fine for me, better than nothing. The speedo worked for a second on the way home, but I still need to re-wire it.

outta high school, I joined the Coast Guard, and I was a Quartermaster (Navigator) for a couple years. Got out right before 9/11 (the day before, actually) Then worked at a few dealerships (Lexus & later VW) for a few years.
Before I Dislocated my thumb (bout a half inch outta place, really nasty, took 6 people 7 hours to pull it back into place! )a couple years back (and got a deuwie ) I was working the Graveyard shift as a Diesel mechanic for Ryder, and working part time during the day at a Subi performance shop (who shall remain nameless, due to their bad rep. I know I did quality work )
After I re-hab'd my thumb, It was difficult to find a good paying job that I'd make what i'm worth. So I took a job a working for a contractor to help re-build my one of my Uncles' houses. That took a little over a year (turned a single-story, 2200 sq. ft. duplex into a 5500 sq. ft. 2 story, bedroom pimp-*** bachelor pad). Tried to get back into turnin' wrenches, but after 60+ applications, I got fed up. So I said, "F' it! I'm going to build my car to show people what I can do!"
But enough about me, back to the car.
I'm talking about the lights for the plate, on the US bumper, they mount directly to the bumper cover. The JDM have small brackets that bolt to the rear bumper beam.
as for mounting the plate, The plate holes are close enough that I can file down the holes in the actual plate to fit the bracket.
The washer bottle is also used for the intercooler sprayer, so I gotta have it. Believe it or not, it's REALLY dangerous not to have good wipers and fluid. if something splatters on your windshield, its a big PITA to pull over and wipe it off. happened to me before, true story.

I just installed the wipers and they're good to go, but I still need to make some brackets for the plate lights. They check for all the lights and they're japan-only dealership parts. But I'm pretty sure I'm good to go as far as their other requirements. I just set an appointment with the DMV on Friday for plates, but I got insurance on it today. Damn holiday is crampin' my style, I have to talk to Clark Wed. again to see when he can tune it.
