Thanks for posting some solutions. I have something in the works. It will take time but should be the best solution for my application and my bank account

First,
Thanks to this community. Thanks for the support. Some days things are tougher than others. I've received calls out of the blue from some really unexpected folks asking how im doing and if i need anything. This is really humbling as I'm usually the one trying to help everybody else. This community is one of a kind. I mainly post in the Vallejo thread as my home base, and I wanna let anybody reading this that my crew, The DefSik family is truly my 2nd family. I invite any and all of you to visit the meets on Tuesdays in Vallejo, and thursdays at Quicklys in walnut creek.
Second,
Melanoma effing sucks. It causes so much anxiety. I have an operation on september 9 to remove this. There will be extrication, radiation, possible chemo, definitely stitches, hopefully not much pain. Hopefully it hasn't spread to the lymph nodes, or anywhere for that matter.
Third,
My Ex-wife has been waiting for the most opportune time for her to strike and sue me for custody of our son, and of course the child support which comes with it. It will be a fight and she won't win, but its definitely the worst possible time for me to be paying attorney fee's court fee's, missing work, on top of the car being down, and all of the medical bills. I'm repulsed at the selfishness I've seen.
Fourth,
My beautiful daughter Emma is now 3.5 months old and healthy. She is perfect. She loves her daddy!!!

her daddy loves her more though.
Fifth and final...,
The whole point of this thread...I have half the transmission job paid off. My car is still down. With all of the money going out, I simply don't have the cash to get the car going. I'm so close/so far. So it sits in my garage. I sit in it once a week trying to put my mind at ease by remembering how much of a blast it is to be in my car @ thunder hill. I crank the motor and let it heat cycle to keep the motor used to running, keep the battery charged, and keep the fluids from getting stagnant.
It's funny to see what this thread has become. It started being a WTB transmission, and has ended up being proof that there is a ton of support out there in this community. I was told by a few people i should do an update.. this is it. I'm not sure when ill have a running scooby at this point. I miss my car. It's only money right? I get so much joy from my car, it is what i have used as my main tool for stress management for at least three years of owning WRX's. When my car is down, I get depressed. I'm sure some of you can relate to this. Thanks again for the suggestions on transmission work. That part is all sorted out. Now its just all about the money, the health battle, the custody battle, and patience.

Woah man. Sucks that you have to deal with so much at once. I hope you do get custody of your daughter, your operation goes well and that you get your car on the road again soon. Nice to know that everyone is supporting you though. Good people will prosper, and you certainly seem to be a good person.

Let me know if i can do anything to help you dude you know I just a phone call/ email away. I'll have to come by and pay the fam a visit when I get off work early enough
Stay up man. We all go through tough times in life. You'll never be put up to this if you can't beat it. If there's a problem there's a solution. Like if it's an automatic there's a 5 speed swap! Smile!!! (no offense JonP)
