OK that's cool. 10 at connector still then?

I got a bunch of warm stuff tonight. Got some Sugoi tights (40% off 07 clothing at Mike's!), some Specialized Deflect gloves and a Canondale "Skull Cap"

I should be nice and toasty on Saturday.

I just got a FATRAC email saying the Try The Divide ride is Saturday at 10:00. My suggestion is that we can either just to our normal Connector and FHLT ride or, since it's going to be really cold, we can meet them at the upper parking lot at 10:00 and ride with them. Often some of them ride to the end of Connector and back so it would be the same length. Because it's going to be so cold, I think the extra miles of riding up to meet them stand a good chance of being to much. What do you think?

I'm digging out all my cold weather stuff.

The forecast Auburn low for Saturday morning is 28. It will be colder where we ride. For example, it is 32 in Auburn right now. It is 25 here. There probably won't be that big of a difference, but I'm betting it doesn't warm up a whole lot before 10:00.

Matt, I just got an email from Bert asking if they cancel the FATRAC ride would I want to ride Granite Bay in the early afternoon. First I thought Bert was off skiing and stuff. Second I didn't know they might cancel the ride. Would you want to ride GB later in the day when it's warmer if they cancel the FATRAC ride? I know you probably had other things scheduled later. If we ride GB maybe Mike could come out of hibernation.

It gets dark around 4:30PM.

4:30PM - 3 hour ride means we start at 1:30PM at the latest.

Can we do noon? That way we can sleep in a little, but not finish super late.

Well be sure to dress warm this week so we can ride a bit longer . I liked the loop we did a few rides back where we did the granite section backwards.

We still might end up riding Auburn, so don't throw away all that cold weather stuff. And we still have more winter to go.

I would not to start later than 12:30. The last few times I've ridden mid-day, it starts cooling off fast by 3:30. I haven't heard from Bert yet.

OK so Randy are you saying Bert might want to ride Auburn, or you're saying we'll ride Auburn another weekend (or even next week, what are you guys doing on xmas eve?)?

anyone riding Friday AFTER Christmas?
got the day off, haven't ridden in a WHILE (no bike rack FTL!), but wouldn't mind doing some spinning up the hill...

Olmstead, AR Divide, Cronin Ranch, etc.

dunno if i could hang with a 4+ hour ride, but i'd give it a shot.
i need to get back out there somehow.

I tried to negotiate it with my boss but we're scheduled in on the 26th and depending on how testing goes of this project we're on, well, that could be a pivotal day.

So I'll be here. Posting.

I am off the WHOOOLLEEEEEE week of 12/29 though and intend to do some mid-week riding..

Trying to coordinate everybody I called Bert. He is signed up to led the beginner ride if they have the Try The Divide ride. They are worried about mud from more rain. If they don't have the ride, then he would like to do Granite Bay at 12:00 since that is the time Matt wanted. He probably won't know until Saturday morning. He suggested that we go ahead and plan on GB at 12:00 and if they cancel the FATRAC ride, then he will join us. He will call me when he knows for sure.

So..... let's just aim for GB at 12:00 if that is ok with everybody.

As for riding during the Xmas week, I'm up for that if the weather is ok. I know my son is coming up sometime Xmas eve, but it will probably be later than we would ride.
