This is what I've been trying to tell you guys!!! Sheesh! It's about another 30 minute drive from HITG, but the trails around Tahoe City are NIIIIICE!

Randy, I'm guessing he told you about Mt. Watson, Painted Rock and Western States?

At the shop we talked about lots of stuff, but not to much about specific trails. Part of why I got enthused was while I was snowshoeing, I was on some of the trails that from the signs I knew were MTB trails too. They looked like they would be great places to MTB. There was a part around Tahoe Vista and Brockway Summit that looked like it would be fun. As I was snowshoeing I crossed several roads that were under snow and I thought you could even start from some of those once the snow was gone.

Tahoe City also has lot of trails that looked good. The place we started has brutal climb at the beginning but flattens out a lot after that.

I've got tryouts this Saturday and Sunday to make up for the rain last weekend. Unless I can be back before 10AM, I'm probably out for this weekend.

I'm ready to ride this weekend. Either day is fine for me. I'm tired of not riding.

I rode Connector and FHLT today. The trail conditions were maybe the best I've ever seen for here. Perfect traction, no mud and great weather. I'm sorry you guys couldn't join me.

This sure is fun. Been testing systems since 10 PM. First round fires off for real at 2 AM. Have about 20 more to test before the next batch at 6 AM. Can't decide if I should go to bed or just drink the Rockstar in my fridge and go for 6.
