SRIC Mountain Bike Crew!
Fun ride yesterday. We found the shuttle run on the Cool side (across the bridge), and there is a pretty good network of trails. Some fireroad, but the areas that are fireroad have jumps off to the side and the trails are FAST!
Some areas were super muddy on the DH sections. If you put too much brake, the front tire would starting sinking into the mud, even as it was still rolling. It was interesting trying to control the bike while it was sliding all over the place. There were some nice rocky singletrack sections too.
We did a second shuttle from top of Connector to Confluence. Definitely less muddy, and there weren't that many people out there. I wussed out on the gap jump again. I'm going to bring a full face up there and session it soon. Lindsay took my camera, but I'll post a couple photos when I get it back.

I have to be up early again tomorrow so I'll check again. I may need to put the road bike on the trainer for weeknights

I'm glad you had a good ride Nelson. I shouldn't have wimped out.
Matt, I'm ok with a Saturday ride. It's going to be chilly early with a forecast low of 45.
I'm going to ride Olmstead tomorrow. I plan on wearing shoe covers since the formerly dry streams will be probably be flowing big time.

There has been a huge downpour here all evening. I think I might do FHLT and Connector instead of Olmstead. I think Olmstead will be a bog after all the rain tonight.
Connector wasn't bad on Sunday even after the rain all day on Saturday. You should be fine with FHDL and Connector.

I rode yesterday. (Tues.) The trails were pretty good. There were a lot of mud holes, but most were pretty small and not very deep. Just enough to splash some mud on your bike. I waited until it warmed up to ride. Silly me, I forgot about the time change. I did stuff around here until 2:00. Then I realized that it was going to get dark real early and I wouldn't have time to ride the Connector and FHLT. So I just did the FHLT. It was a litttle chilly. The high here was only 50.
I think I'm going to ride again tomorrow. It looked like the mud isn't in full swing yet, so I may ride Olmstead just to see how it is.

Yeah, that's the takeoff. He lifted the rear wheel just in time to get above the rock landing. It's a scary jump because there isn't a long straight away before the takeoff.
