The s-works Fast Trak LK tires have some STIFF ****ing sidewalls too. I have broken a bunch of tire levers trying to fix flats on my rear wheel with that tire. I hate that thing - will be replacing the tires when I start riding again
. Maybe with the same model, just non s-works/2bliss. They're really fantastic tires. I rode them in some SLOPPY mud, dry, wet, etc, and they gripped everywhere.
And on the 100% gaurantee - it rocks. I've used it too. I traded in some Armadillo all-conditions after about 200 miles of use for the Armadillo Elite All-Conditions and only paid the difference in price (The elites are a bit more expensive due to the same flat protection but considerably lower weight). I love S.

Yeah, I broke a lever getting them off.
The Eskars are 2bliss and were almost as easy as regular tires to get on.
Both of the ones I got were >700g each, so not too bad of a weight penalty for ridiculously larger tires.

Needs work, of course, but it's an ATX 990 Team. 3 whopping inches of travel. You need to come see it if not buy it

bump

I just bought some Juicy 3's and some Stylo cranks for the Prophet, so I can finally put it together for good, and drag Scott out for some shuttle runs. Went through the other two bikes and got them squared away and farted around the neighborhood for an hour and a half yesterday, it's nice to have free time and actually be able to ride. If I can keep at it, I'll be in good shape (heh) to bring up the (wheezing) rear on some rides next season. It's been way too long.

That does seem pretty cool.
Egan - did you see this thread on mtbr: here?
Apparently the GM at M&M threatened an mtbr member at Maria's in Auburn saying he tries to run down cyclists on Auburn-Folsom.

It seems very surprising to me that a Sheriff's Deputy didn't arrest the guy for assault and drunk & disorderly.
