6+ hours is not going to fly on Sunday.
What about sticking to our plan with Olmstead and riding this HITG trail next weekend?

When we ride Sunday, lets plan on getting all that stuff figured out. I have a small cooler now (and a beer opener on my keychain) so I'll bring some up and we can have a post-ride beer and schedule next weeks fun

I like his option of not ending the ride with a climb.

So we still meeting in Cool on Sunday?
I will be heading up to Tahoe tomorrow with wife and friends for a day trip......anything you guys want me to scope out for our eventual trip/ride there?
I concur we should plan a weekend trip for tahoe, say a two nighter (go up friday evening, ride saterday morning/day, and come back down Sunday).

HWY49 down to the bridge before Clementine. Right over the bridge and up HWY49 to Cool. First right turn before you hit the stoplight. You'll see a right turn lane/ turnout just in front of the fire station.
Park behind the Fire Station.
Or be at my house by 7:15AM and we'll ride together.

I'm looking forward to getting out and riding tomorrow. I was going to do a short road ride this morning but my back tire was way low when I got the bike off the rack. I think the valve stem was bent and it was leaking. Anyway, I put in a new tube that I picked up at Performance last week, inflate and notice some oddness around the valve stem. I can't fix it so I pull the tube out and inflate it - it was defective, the damn thing had these crazy bulges all around the valve stem (on the opposite side of the tube), so I put in an extra Specialized tube I had in the garage, but by then I was pissed and didnt' feel like riding. Instead, I cleaned the drivetrain of the bike (the chain and the cassette were black), cleaned the frame with a light degreaser and water (tons of road oil and stuff all over the place), relubed. I really wanted to ride when I started out too, damn flats
