SRIC Mountain Bike Crew!
I'll see if she'd be interested. So what's going on this weekend, ride-wise? You can't ride this week with us right, Lance?
I liked the loop we rode on Saturday and could do it again, but does anyone have any other ideas? Once Lance is back with us, I want to hit Rockville, and hopefully in the next few weeks we can do HITG?

That kid has a lot to learn...18yr olds think they know everything!!!

Well I hope she passes
Looking forward to you riding with us again. I saw a thread on mtbr talking about Tahoe snow melting quick, so it looks like we should be good to ride up there soon

I hope that in another week or so we can do HITG. Maybe not this weekend, but how about the weekend of 6-30/7-1? Lance, do you think the amount of snow you saw will be melted by then?

Deadly encounter
Well I had another encounter with something deadly on today's ride. I came around a corner on the Foresthill Loop and noticed that the large branch in the trail was moving. RATTLESNAKE!!
I stopped about 7 feet away from him. That made him stop moving also. Unfortunately he was still halfway in the trail. I waited several minutes for him to start moving again but he didn't. So I stood at the back of the bike and very slowly moved it forward. Fortunately that started him moving again instead of coiling up to strike. I could have gotten a real snakebite puncture.

I think you guys may like that Granite Bay ride just for a change in pace. You can make it a longer ride if you want to get some distance out of it by doing a few of the off shoot trails.
6/30 - 7/1 should be cool. My sister is coming in from CT on the 30th so 7/1 in the a.m. maybe better for me.
I would think the snow I saw on HITG would be there thru mid-July unless it gets really hot; it's pretty shady with all the tree coverage. We hiked over some pretty large patches and there were more further up the trail. I think the snow is melting pretty fast but just don't know about further up the trail. It was still fun and I think you guys would like it even though it has snow, but depending it may not be as long of a ride as you would like. Hope that makes since.
Randy- Glad it wasn't a deadly Mountain Lion and only a little-baby snake
Snake-bite okay, ML-bite not so okay!

Oh and it looks like I caught some PO from the last ride we did. Last night I noticed my leg was itching like crazy and sort of burning in places. I had these dry red bumps all down it
I tecnu'd before bed and it seems a lot better this morning.
