My QR skewers haven't felt right since that muddy race in April, and after the front was so loose when we finished our ride Sunday, I think I want to replace them. I was looking at the Salsa Flip-Off Skewers.

What color should I get? JensonUSA has black, silver and red. Black or silver are the obvious choices given the color of my bike but I'm kind of thinking of going with red..what do you think?
I'm sure you guys didn't notice but I upgraded my QR-skewer to this one:

Works pretty sweet and they also make a Ti version.

Nice, Lance! They make a Ti Salsa too but say you're not supposed to run Ti with if the wheel is attached to suspension.

www.speedgoat.com in PA so you have to wait a bit for UPS to get to town.

Just for the rear cuz I already had the RS Maxel QR system up front.

Dangit, all this family stuff this week sucks. I can't ride in to work because I have stuff to do early in the evening, can't ride after work for the same reason, etc, etc.

My chain is off my mtb anyway :\. Mike's recommended I try removing a link in the chain as a first step to figuring out what the problem with my bike is where the chain skips when I ride over high-frequency bumps. I pulled the link out..WAY too short so I put the link back and cleaned the chain all purty

That's my backyard!

How long is the ride?

I can probably get home by 3:30. Do you want to meet at my house?

I've found this week pretty frustrating too. I got in one very short ride with my wife Monday, but that's it. I'm hoping to get home early enough this afternoon to take a ride. Friday is no good either.

I guess the only benefit is that my legs are finally getting a decent break :\

I don't think it's very long...maybe like 7 miles or so from what my co-worker John said. 3:30 is fine we will see you then!
