what's wrong with 10-40. I've been using the stuff off and on for YEARS. Unless you plan on driving in to a canadian snow storm you'll be fine.

I think I found my fuel leak issue, was smelling around and immediatly found one of the lines coming off the fuel filter. I dont know if i should loosen the clamp and try and seat it tighter or just buy a new line. Went to San Jose and back yesterday, went from 7/8ths of a tank to 1/4 tank ://

The 10 weight is a bit thick for when you first turn on your car. It's better to have a thinner oil so it can spread through the engine faster on start-up.

That's where the most engine wear occurs.

Bah. I'm more concerned with the 40.

I've run 5/40 or 10/40 which are both thicker than the recommended for a LONG time..... I have 199,600 miles on my motor by the way.

You'll probably have to replace the line.
