Official Mt.Madonna Thread!
The line was bellow the bulbous part of the metal connection so i loosened it and shoved it further up the pipe and re-tightened. Ill see if that stops it from leaking. I wonder if this will improve my mpg in any significant way. doubtful.
Can I just call up the dealership and see what maintenance my wrx has had before ownership?

that gas leak issue is a hige thread over on nasioc.. i have what i believe is the same issue.. it gets really bad when its cold outside and i have a 05.. yea it was only the northern states that really got attention for the problem and i have yet to find the source of mine (havent really checked since its only on cold days).. wish soa would take care of this problem on all of the models and years since it is a safety concern and i would rather not have a fuel leak near hot item , the whole engine bay.. lol
somone on here is selling some teins that i believe 5x100 for $200 they just need a rebuild..
jody didnt you post about those new Veals? i was looking at them and they peeked my interest.. kinda want a stiffer setup.. im no suspension guru and i want to get mine in order with the right fitment.. lol

I do not recommend running sedan suspension on your wagon.

My advice.... there are so many CORRECT options on the market that there is absolutely no reason to be trying to do things that "might" work. Back in the day when there were no options... sure. We were trying to figure out what would work back then.
I ran sedan suspension on my wagon for a long time and it is going to put limits on you that you just don't want. I ran them with Camber plates and it was fine but I still ran in to saggy butt issue that not only look like crap but negatively effect your turn in. And you're running 18's so you'll run in to rubbing. Without camber plates you're gonna be lucky to get anywhere near spec. I was barely able to get it in spec WITH camber bolts. I went from -2.5 camber to -0.2 or some crap like that. No fun.
I've run so many different suspension set ups doing exactly what you're doing... trying to find a balance on comfort, handling and expense. Hell, I'm running one now that is good but really is a waste of time and effort. I'm running KYB AGX struts. WRX in the rear. GC8 up front. I have camber bolts front and rear. I get the numbers I want. It handles fine. Rides fine. But what I really want is Koni/Swift.
If you're looking for a cheap way out of this... have Brian buy you some KYB GR-2's. They're a little bit better than stock and are a bit better for running springs. Then pick up a set of wagon pink springs. You won't be very low but you'll have a good ride and it will handle good.
Seriously... DO NOT put sedan struts on your car unless you're gonna run camber plates. You will regret it. Unless you like ****ty limiting camber settings and understeer.
how much of a difference does that camber make though? I was planning on using wagon springs with the struts so i shouldnt have to worry about saggy butt.
I've also read alot of people saying that the gr2s just arnt all that better than oem
