That's what I was talking to Paul about. If you pull everything out through the top it's one less gasket and less time on your back.

Are you swapping out the turbo and the UP? If so you'll require 3 gaskets I believe(upper and lower UP, and DP)

Yes and yes I believe you're right. I'm pretty sure those are the 3 I have.

The only one I didn't get is the manifold gasket because I'd like to not pop the manifold. I really don't want to see what's in there. LOL!

I've got a temporary TD-04 ready to roll, the up pipe and the gaskets but I'm trying to decide if it would be better to try to get a hold of a blown turbo and have it rebuilt so I only have to do this once. But Blouche is begin douchey and won't get back to me.

Brian... you still got that complete turbo? I think play is fine since it'll get rebuilt...

yeah i have both still...the one that got destroyed and is in 2 pieces (i took it apart)

the other had 10k miles on it, i had it on for 5miles and it died from oil starvation and im assuming shot the bearings and yeah shaft play - this one could probably be rebuilt

Sweet. I'll let you know if I need it when I hear back from Blouche.

I'm considering a the very least doing a PNP, bearing upgrade. Possibly do the 19t wheel instead of the 13 we have. If I can do it for under $300 I'll do it. Anything over $300 is silly. I can get a VF34 for $450 and it's a BB turbo that pushes way more air.

i looked into the 19t when i replaced my first turbo and most of them were failing shortly after install...that was about year or two ago so not sure if its improved...that was on a nasioc thread btw

what i like about the 19t was that a few people were running them with stock fuel pump and injectors and making 250whp+

vf you should upgrade fuel system

That's exactly my thought process. Don't want to be messing with that isht right now. With the 19t I'll get killer spool and it's an HP upgrade for however long my motor lasts. I'll be at 200,000 in like a month!

Was it the blouche turbos failing or deadbolt? I heard the deadbolt Super TD04 wasn't really much of an upgrade.

Dude... there's like 63 pages in that thread. LOL!

It seems to me that most people are having pretty good results. But I didn't read it all. Some folks had issues but it seems like blouch warranties there stuff.

On the flip side... I don't think I'm going to do it. For the price of doing that turbo I can fix a lot of other issues. LOL. It's $300 just for a rebuild. Then you add in the upgraded wheel and the hot side port and waste gate port... Haven't got that price yet.
