So just use regular car wax? I thought about it, but then i thought i must be stupid until you said that. or maybe we both are. might try it anyways

If you use regular wax, the wax will only cover the situation. It will not take the waterspots away. You will eventually have to wax again.. then again... then again.. then again and again another time... Not worth it.

Polish the window once a year (if that) and just use a REALLY good window cleaner.

i think i am having more trouble getting them off now, because i rain-xed the windows while they were on there. Well at least i can't get them off now, so i'm guessing that contributed.
