Question Window Waterspots

I live in CA and just got my WRX not too long ago. Water is so bad here that everytime you get water on something, there are waterspots. Does anybody know of anything that works real good on the windshield and windows? I can't seem to get rid of em. Thanks!

i have a 98rs and i have the same problem. even if i wash it and immeciately dry, they still appear. i use rain-x on all my windows which works good for water, but not spots. maybe it is just the glass that subaru uses because my friend in his honda doesn't have this problem. ????????

since the headlights aren't glass, it would make sense that the cleaner won't work properly.

You can try meguire's clear plastic cleaner, if its not shiny enough then, try the polish.

Glad to know I wasn't alone. I know there are things to do to prevent them like not washing the car in the sun and immediately drying but as soon as I dry, they're still there...****ing spots. I'll try that armor all though slam. Thanks

Dont know what year your car is and if your the only owner of the car. i had an eclipse that wasnt washed often by the previous owner and after i got it waxed up and all it looked so good...except for unremovable water spots. mostly on the roof and trunk. Urrgh that made me p!$$ed,but not as much as replacing the sunroof, clutch, and headgasket. Damn Mitzus

Mix vinegar and lemon juice with about 1 part water....and wipe with newspaper. It sounds ghetto, but works wonders on hard water spots.... and i live in s. sac/elk grove too.

DI water will not leave water spot on your window. in fact the dealer use DI water to wash their car so that they dont need to wipe the car down after car wash. sweeet isn't it.

There are a couple cleaners specifically for removing water spots. They're kind of gritty, they actually feel like toothpaste. You rub it on the windshield DRY and then rinse it off gently. make sure you rinse the windshield and car SEVERAL times before washing, you do NOT want to rub this stuff on your paint...

Well i'll tell you what didn't work. Eagle one glass cleaner. These f-in spots are about to get to me. Tried everything. I guess i'll do the vinegar treatment again with more vinegar.

luke

EDIT: that didn't work either, i'm desperate
