Question Whats wrong with fiberglass

I have talked and read post about fiberglass body kits and various parts being talked about negatively and was wondering what the reason behind not liking fiberglass was. My impression was that it was a good strong material to work with but I guess I was wrong. So what experiences have you guys had with fiberglass body kits and other car parts?

I guess it depends on the quality of fiberglass. Some kits may be very weak due to the lack of fiberglass used. Some kits may only have 1-2 layers of fiberglass where as other kits may have 4-5. People say to get urethane kits because of its felxibility, but the truth is is depends on the quality of the urethane kit as well. I have had fiberglass kits that were stronger than urethane. My greddy lip which is urathane (which they clame it is) cracked very easily. Do a search on this (greddy and crack) you will find a lot others that have cracked as well. It just depends on the quality.
