Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

Whats wrong here...

ive got the same tt as you and just to clearify a bit, 1 bar = 14.5 psi. what we have is hkpa. i forget the conversion but i think its something like 13.2psi = 1 hkpa? its something like that.
getting 1.09 is really good already. the most ive ever gotten was 1.1 but that was due to a spike with the restrictor mod you are thinking of. the lack of boost suddenly should be normal. since its raining and the air is colder.
in regard to the restrictor mod, stay away from it, it causes the turbo to spike too much.
gluck and enjoy the car

yes, what racerz22 said, when the weather is cold, or when u drive in cold conditions, u tend to boost 1 more psi above the usual psi you get, which would probably explain why

The colder the air is, the denser it is, so when it passes through the compressor and gets heated, it expands more than warmer air would have, causing more boost. Basically, it just means more air to make more power with, without your engine having to do any more work to get it. If you don't have mods, you don't have to worry about any damage simply due to the weather conditions, although performance can greatly vary.

I have a Blitz DTT turbo timer and when I called Blitz USA they (like most people) said hkpa is the same as bar which would mean 1 hkpa=around 14.5psi. I have also seen companies claim it can read up to 2.5 hkpa (36.75psi) and that would mean that 1 hkpa=14.7psi so who knows for sure.

I have never run a boost controller so I don't know much about them but those #'s sound too high for a WRX that only has a boost controller. If you are running that much boost, have you hit fuel cut off?

I converted those #'s in the other thread and your guess is close.
