i haven't had much experience with oil coolers but basic science tells me go with a front. my reasoning is because I'd imagine your oil pump will have a tougher time working against gravity versus being almost parallel to the oil pump if not lower. on top of that it only makes sense to have the core being hit straight on with air versus going through the hood scoop hitting it at an angle. i'd imagine you could probably fabricate a diverter but that would be more time and money.

Idealy u would minimize the runs of hose between the cooler, your sandwitch adapter, and your remote filter block ( if you have one ). Front mount seems to be the way to go if you are looking for THE BEST. But the top mounted cooler looks sweet!

If you add an oil cooler, you're also increasing oil capacity at the same time. Therefore, as long as the system is filled and closed (leak free), you can run it any way you want. I know Mocal has some oil coolers with built in thermostats to decrease cold oil starts in the morning and also relieve any air pockets in the system. Make sure that if you mount it under the hood scoop, you have some kind of diverter to channel air into it instead of around it.

for an oil cooler it would depend on how is it setup. is it thermo controlled as in oil won't flow to the cooler until a certain temp has been reached or will it always be flowing? problem with the front mount setup is that it may become too cool, moreso a problem in the mainland with colder temps. in hawaii a front mount would be a good way to go but i would have a way to monitor oil temp or just go ahead and have one that is thermo controlled.

arent you already front mount, luis? you might change to top mount? my setup was top mount for a while...there was less lag...but youre twin scroll, so im guessing you dont have much lag anyway?
