Question New tires...now or later?

Well, I just bought some Kumho MX 225/50/16's to replace my RE-92's. I have on order, but haven't received a set of Tein S-Tech springs, some brake stuff, etc. My original goal was to do everything in one weekend. Brake pads/rotors, springs, tires, & run straight in to get an alignment. BUT......
I really want to get the tires on quickly, as my RE-92's are very bald. The outer edges are pretty much out of tread. Will I be ok getting the new tires put on, and driving on them for a week or 2 at the most, without getting an alignment? If anyone has a recommended alignment shop too, that would be helpful.

I say now. The tires will be fine.

Not recommending, but this is who I had do my alignment and I thought they did a pretty good job.

I agree with the other Pat. A week or two without an alignment won't hurt anything.

I agree

with the two Pats and Fred (who had the same recommendation). And Pacific Automotive is the only shop that has aligned my car.

WooHoo! Just got the tires put on. I have to agree with everyone that's said it's one of the biggest bang-for-the-buck mods when it comes to handling. I can tell that the car's cornering capability has improved tons, and I haven't even been on a "spirited" drive yet!

Oh ya. In case anyone's wondering, it was $61 to have all 4 tires mounted & balanced, including the stall time I had to pay for (1 hour or so) at Hickam's Auto Hobby Shop.
