Josh used to drive a black forester turbo (FXT).

I would start with general maintenance first and then go from there. you're over due on the fuel filter 2 times over (canister on the drivers side next to the rubber hoses in the intercooler area). If the previous owner never changed spark plugs then you're over due as well.

Car Info: ?
maybe get your car scanned with a scan tool; the CELS may be real CELS and not your car fluctuating through your UTECs different stages....I had problems with my UTEC, not the same as yours, but pulling the codes helped decipher what was wrong with the car

I'm not too sure how upgrading the software on WRX's work, but for some apparent reason TurboXS gave (3) different files too choose from when upgrading the STI's software.

I uploaded the first file: fried cylinders 2&3 coilpacks, fouled both the plugs, the data logger would go haywire <sp?> and obviously the car would run hideously. <BTW, scanning the CELS helped me figure out that cylinders 2&3 were misfiring and in turn the fried coilpacks> So I replaced the coilpacks, plugs, etc.

Taking a chance <do this at your own risk, because I was about to toss the UTEC> I uploaded the second file and guess what BUTTER! Everything worked perfect, cycled through all stages: Stock, Stage 1, Stage 2, Valet, etc and everything went fine.......squeezzed a$$ the whole time, but everything seem to work out

Just remember when upgrading your software to save all your stored maps prior to installation and to reinstall again your new maps from the upgraded version of software....if you are unsure of anything I highly recommend giving TurboXS a call and letting them guide you through the process

you don't want to end up like me.......sorry for the long post, but hope it helps

Mike

i'm guessing your still having trouble? if you made absolutely sure that all your hoses are on tight then who knows. you could see if anyone would let you borrow their stock bpv but idk too many ppl there. it's possible that its leaking. just gotta start on one side and go to the other looking for things that might be loose.
