Anyone know if I can trim my front bumper cover to allow for slightly better airflow to my radiator? I recall this was a no-no but wanted to double check. I reviewed the class rules but it doesn't say specifically.
What about swapping to a different front bumper cover?

So oddly enough, you can't really trim much on a stock cover. But, you can completely replace it. It's a weird ruleset, made for ricer cars in the late 90s, early 2000s.

Only challenge is I would need to exchange my front bumper beam as well, pretty sure that's no problem as long as I retain a front bumper beam. Time to start looking for some GC partouts.
On the bright side, got the car all registered and safety checked. Can breathe easy now that its all legal.

Yeah as long as it's another OEM bumper beam from another GC/GM, then no matter. It really is a weird ruleset, I've read it a hundred times when evaluating mods for the ssm miata.

Got some decent daily wheels / tires, feels like a whole new car with tires that don't feel like balloons. Getting very stoked on this, going to try and get the suspension in order for the race on Dec 20th!
