Alliedforces FR-S build thread.
I purchased the car on Monday June 4, 2012. It was one of two in Toyota Vallejo's first batch of FR-S'. The color is Firestone Red with 6MT and had 46 miles on the OD at the time of purchase. I've been waiting for the BRZ/GT86 cars to come out for years (like many have), and it's safe to say I'm floored to finally have one in my garage. This thread will showcase the mods I perform and pictures/videos of its progress. I plan on starting off slow, but here is the mod list so far:
Installed:
MY2009 WRX rear sway bar-16mm
Kartboy solid endlinks
Cusco trailing arm brace
JDM Toyota emblems F&R
JDM clear side markers
Cusco 1.3bar high pressure radiator cap
K&N high flow filter
Cusco Front-Strut-Tower-Bar-Type-OS-w-Master-Cylinder-Brace
Cusco oil catch can
Cusco sports shift ****
Cusco blue side brake button
Whiteline rear subframe bushings
Whiteline positive traction kit
Greddy oil drain magnate
HKS oil cooler kit
Grimmspeed "86" oil filler cap
Eibach Pro-Kit lowering springs
On order:
Nothing at the moment
I plan on using the car for light AutoX/SCCA events and some Wednesday night Sonoma Drift events. The car is great so far and I haven't found out what else I'd like to change out yet, so the above mods may be it for the time being.
For now here's some photos of it. All taken from my iPhone, will update with hi res photos once I take some.
The night I bought her
First fill up. 33mpg(avg.) for a half tank.

6-9-12- Today I found a use for all the spare WRX wheels I have collecting dust in my garage. Wanted to make sure they'd clear the front caliper, knew they would since they're from the WRX, but had to check to be 100%. I'll be using them for the Sonoma Drift event this coming wednesday.
So clean!
Score!
I'm excited to get this car on the skid pad and have some fun. Last year I was doing RallyX with a friend and his Bugeye, so those skills will come in handy, but it's been a few years since I've been on Tarmac, so we'll see how it goes. I'll have my GoPros recording everything and I'll post it when it's all said and done.

Fun in My new FR-S - YouTube

Messing around with some mounting spots with my GoPro. I bought a good microphone to, so next set of vids should have better sound quality and less wind noise.

The stock struts and spring are pretty stiff already, but to get a good stance I might. Depends on how much I drive the car and if I do a track day once a month. I might start with just RCE "Blacks" Springs once they start selling them. But yeah these cars look so much more sexy when lowered and some good wheels. Like this:
