Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

Hi vinzie,

The intake is only loud if you are giving it alot of throttle, other than that it is pretty quiet.

Just installed 04'/05' Sti rear sway bar-20mm on my 2.5i.
Dramatic change in handling. More balanced than before. Now, I wanna try a larger rsb to see how much oversteer it'll result in, but in the meantime, this is a good and cheap mod.
*Best bang for your buck!*

Oh man I so want to get a CAI now. Just the stupid water ingestion thing is irritating the heck out of me. Should the short ram give similar results in both power and fuel economy. I heard some cars works better w/ short ram than w/ cai.

R any of you folks planning on buying the lightweight pulley?

yea i hear ya nightraven. im probably going end up going with the weaponr. i dont want to deal with any water ingestion issues. some people don't recommend going cai, as short ram can be just as good with out water issues.

check this thread out guys.

I've been waiting for one of these (http://www.injen.com/hydroshield.html) to come in so i can finish installing my injen from a short to cold, since they should work great in my area for making sure i don't ingest any water.

sounds like everyone is doing good with the mods so far. as for myself ive been getting frustrated at how overpriced everything is for our cars. -_- but what can you expect when you buy a new car eh?

well for the CAI discussions dont sweat it too much, CAI or SR you will still get a noticeable boost in your acceleration. from my experience ive seen improvements for both intakes. for instance those worried about water ingestion on a CAI can get a bypass valve, however ive heard you lose power with it. and for the SR you can get a heat shield to help intake colder air.

crud.

Thank you for your interest in TEIN High Performance suspension products. We
offer suspension for the 06 STi, and 04+ WRX. We do not have suspension for
the 2006 2.5 RS yet. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

Best regards,
Sales

Staff @ TEIN USA INC.

I thought that 2.5i suspension was pretty much the same as 06 wrx. should i just order the wrx 04+ and it will work? has anybody installed coilovers or strut/spring combos on their 2.5i's yet?

I got Tein H-techs, which were made for the 04+ wrx.
Didn't have a single problem.

o.O i thought all suspension upgrades, specifically coilovers/struts/springs, were interchangeable between STis WRXs and the 2.5i. we all have the same frame

actually, i DO NOT encourage you to slam your cars.
It'll just wear out your stock struts even faster.

I already have curb damage on my front bumper!
and rear damage on my bumper.
