quick question, my setup is intake turbo back uppipe headers avcr and safc. running 1.15 bar stock turbo and stock topmount. when I put the TSX top mount the boost dropped signifigantly. I couldnt tell if the car was running slower though. what shoudl i expect? if the pressure dropps 3-4psi should the EBC compensate and still run the full target boost?

 

It is normal for boost to drop with a larger intercooler. When I upgraded to an STI tmic, My boost dropped about .15 bar.

 

since your boost dropped though, did you car get slower?I understand that the intercooler creates a pressure drop but does the car run faster because its runs cooler with a bigger intercooler or does it in fact run slower with a bigger intercooler and boost drop. What I dont understand is since there is a pressure drop of about 3-4 psi depending on what gear and rpm I am at, should my AVCR correct it? the boost controler is set at 1.15bar and doest ever hit target boost right now? any info would be great. thanks
