itll get worse once you start to get on it, but then you start to realize gas is starting to get farking expensive and to drive slower. maybe thats why people think i drive slow?

btw congrats on the new scooby!

winter gas is oxygenated, which lowers its energy content. as a result you get fewer miles per gallon overall.

i've noticed a drop of about 10%. it's the only variable in my driving.

Does anyone else log their fuel consumption? I don't think it serves much use, but could be useful down the road if you start consistently getting ****ty mileage. I log mine in excel every time I refill, 30 seconds every week isn't much of a hassel. I have averaged 20.63 MPG over the last year, 40% HWY 60% City.

I've been measuring my miles per tank for about 2 years with the trip meter.. every fill up I reset it. Up until a few months ago I've been consistently averaging 280 a tank. Thats a combination of fwy/city mild racing and the occasional 4k launch.

A few months ago I finally ditched the stock wheels and got some 18x8.5 volks with fm901's (235), brembo brakes (front and rear) and tein flex coilovers. Since then my mileage has taken a dump.. I've been averaging 230-250 and if I race the entire tank away, a pathetic 180-200.

I also have a GFB BOV that I've had for about a year. I didn't notice any mileage diff from that.. I think the big dip is from my wheels being heavier (abour 2lbs per wheel heavier than the stockers)
