yeah, same here. I've been using Shell forever as well and I don't noticed any difference in performance. Maybe it's all internal. Keeps the internal parts cleaner.

Just by reading that sentence makes me say bs, improve handling?????? gas makes power it doesn' make the car turn lol, I think shell is just trying too hard to get more customers.
fuel actually COULD improve the handiling of your car....i know its not true in this case but formula1 teams are working to develop "lightweight" fuels that get the same power with less density

My friend was telling me that V-Power is basically Ethanol in the gasoline, which makes it cleaner burning.

You all need to remind yourselves of why you get premium instead of regular...premium burns WORSE than regular, that's why it reduces knocking (pre-ignition) on engines with forced induction and high compression ratios. So saying that 'stuff in the gas that isn't combustible is a waste' is garbage; with that thinking, regular should cost more than premium. I've run shell V-Power in my WRX since the first tank...but after reading this, maybe I'll try 76 and see if I can tell a difference.

I think the point was that detergent additives that add ~$.10 per gallon over the price of the gasoline are a waste of money. You could buy a bottle of fuel system cleaner from Wal-Mart that would work just as well for only a couple bucks. And even they only recommend you use it at every oil change.
