Post silencer removal

I've just recently removed my stock silencer on my 04 wrx. Since then, I've noticed a strange vibration and rattaling sound inside the cabin during a 1st gear wot pull. It seems to coming from underneath the car towards the shifter. I was wondering if anybody else has the same experience and if should be worried about this. It only happens in first gear.

I have mine out and I dont have any rattles at all. You should probably get it checked since you dont know what it is. better safe then sorry

oh, forgot to mention, this happens in the neighborhood of 3000 - 5000 rpms...
Its like the intake is resonating my whole car. Strange

look under teh rear of the car in the back. just behind the rear axle by the exhaust there is a heat shield......the exhaust has a tendancy to shift in the rubber hangers and rub against that piece.......make sure it's not hitting. mine was doing somethign like you described and i finally found that heat shield was my problem......a few pushes to the side and it never did it again!!! best of luck.......rattles suck

When i full throttle in 1st gear, the engine is sooooooo freaking loud... Is that normal at least? I wasn't expecting it to be this loud. Every gear after that isn't as loud. Maybe i need to change the oil. I have 1200 miles on it.

Edit: Ok, I've noticed something. Its not really a rattling noise. More of a buzzing noise and i think its coming from my shifter. It seems to happen when i'm about to shift to 2nd gear. Its a brief little buzzing noise.

Btw. I also have the Kartboy SS installed but however i did rotate the metal shift boot ring 180 degrees.

if it's happening in one gear and no other, it's probably shifter related.
