BOV and intake silencer removal combo
BOV and intake silencer removal combo
I have this combination. I noticed that my BOV doesnt go off as it did before i removed the silencer. Am i losing power? The turbo gauge doesnt really hit the .1 bar unless if i floor it. THis didnt happen before. It was a pain in the a$$ to remove the thing, i realy dont want to put it back. Anyone else have this problem?

Factory BOV?
Is the BOV factory? I yanked the Airbox silencer and you can actually hear the BOV, I couldn't before. Did you seal up the hole so you aren't sucking in hot air? I sealed up "intake side" of the fender well and fabricated a 3" tube to protrude into the fender well so I wasn't sucking in hot air.
I don't have a boost gauge in my car yet but under light acceleration and easy shifting, you shouldn't be in boost. What was the behavior before?
