Yes it is...
as is Lag...The post wasn't comaparing gains between TMIC's and FMIC's it was ..Is a Larger TMIC better than a stock TMIC.
As far as insurance goes..if you have an EVO and you replace the stock FMIC with a larger FMIC then your probably OK...With a WRX if you replace the stock TMIC ($600) with a FMIC ($1500) you are altering the original design of the car..that could be a problem for you..unless you have reported it to your insurance company and they are insuring you for it..It's common practice among show car owners.

My bad, i just don't agree w/ being able to run a stock TMIC w/ a VF30 @ 18psi safely for a good amount of time at a certain rpm for a long time. IE: during track days. But like i said in my other post it would have helped if he stated what he is going to be doing w/ the car.

Hope I didn't come across sounding like a Donkey..I have a great relationship with my Ins. agent..Been with State Farm for 25 years..house, cars, boat , home, the whole shabang..My Rex has been in 1 accident..and I've got close to 10k in upgrades..they were really good about replacing aftermarket parts ..but raised eyebrows at some of the costs and told me to let them know about major work. it would just suck to get stuck was all I ment.
No, I'm gonna call my insurance agent and fax all of my reciepts over tommorow. I was just taking your advice. I plan on getting a fmic pretty soon anyways. It would really suck if I lost it to an accident. I just assumed if you could prove you bought the parts that they would replace everything.

I know that Geico (From what they have told me) will cover up to 1000.00 in aftermarket goodies, after that it will cost me extra coverage.
