thanks sima pi, but I think I need more details to try and fix this. "ic" ? were there any problems with your ecu? Mines working great until 5000 the it just bogs, reminds me of when I had fuel pump problems on a civic, the pump couldn't keep the carbeurator bowl full and she'd starve.

It could be a lot of different things.
Since you're not getting a CEL (misfire, EGT issue, etc.) it may be the ECU pulling timing due to detonation events. Not knowing what mods you have, the immediate guess would be a bad tank of gas or too low of octane. There could be other causes as well (boost spiking for one), but at this point it is all just a guess.
What power mods have you made, if any?

Thanks wrXratd, no mods yet, and I run 94 octane, I'd rule out a bad tank, this has gone on for a while. Power pulls smooth, then just drops rapidly (really sucks when you wanna pull in 3rd and 4th to get the job done quickly!). I'm taking it in to have 5th gear rebuilt (synchro not matching up unless I double clutch or allow a lag time between 4th and 5th shifting). At the same time, they're gonna hook it and do some more diagnostics. Apparently another guy had similar problems which were corrected by replacing a solenoid valve to the BOV. I'll post anything that comes out this.
